Dr. Mercy Popoola is currently a Dean of Nursing and has been in leadership role for over 25 years. She has also been an educator (traditional and online) and clinician for over 30 year. Her PhD in Nursing is from the University of Colorado Health Science Center Denver CO with a masters in nursing education Dr. Popoola’s career as a critical care, telemetry, obstetric, community, and holistic nurse has spanned over 30 years of nursing in the United States and abroad. Her professional experience include teaching in undergraduate and graduate nursing programs, in MBA programs, and in other health care programs; and working with various healthcare and HMO companies. Her research interest centers around the management of chronic health problems from a holistic and caring praxis perspective. The recipient of several grants and teaching-scholarship academic awards, Dr. Popoola is the author of four books, 25 academic journal publications, more than 50 professional presentations and workshops. She has develop over 10 academic and continued education programs and has been involved in the development and implementation of health care policy statements and nursing certifications program. As a health care consultant, Dr. Popoola has consulted with several local, national, and international organizations. She once served as a consultant for the Department of Area Aging Agency and various international schools of nursing.

Kiyomi Sakata has his expertise in epidemiology of chronic disease such as CVD, cancer, and osteoporosis and passion in preventing infectious disease such as influenza. He had studied epidemiology at the Epidemiology Research Center, School of Public Health, The University of Texas Houston Health Science Center. Awarded the degree of Master of Public Health in epidemiology for a thesis entitled “Changes in cardiovascular disease risk factors in three Japanese National Surveys 1971-1990” Work supervised by Professor Labarthe. Now he is a professor at the Department of Hygiene and Preventive Medicine, Iwate Medical University School of Medicine in Japan.

Dr. Buabbas has completed his PhD in Medical Informatics from Brunel University, London 2013. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Faculty of Medicine, Kuwait University. He is interested in medical informatics research, including: informatics in pharmacy, nutrition, diagnostics imaging, and telemedicine. He has ongoing research in PACS evaluation in general hospitals. Dr. Buabbas has participated in several international conferences in his field.

Mr. TIBERKAK Allal holds a Diploma of Engineering in Computer Science from the “National Institute of Computer Science (INI)” (Algeria, 2005) and a Diploma of Magister degree in Computer Science from the “University of Sciences and Technology Houari Boumediene (USTHB)” (Algeria, 2009). He has finished the work on his Ph.D. thesis in Computer Science from the same university (USTHB) since July 2018, and he is waiting for defending it. Mr. TIBERKAK had worked as a project Engineer in “Center for Development of Advanced Technologies (CDTA)” in Algiers, from December 2006 to December 2009. Dr. T. Tashtoush is an Assistant Professor of Engineering in Texas A&M International University (TAMIU), Laredo, TX. He got his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Systems and Industrial Engineering from State University of New York (SUNY) at Binghamton on 2013 and 2009, respectively and his B.S. in Mechatronics - Mechanical Engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), Irbid, Jordan on 2005. Prof. Dr. Abdel-Badeh M Salem is a professor emeritus of Computer Science since September 2007 till now. He was a former Vice Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences at Ain Shams University, Cairo-Egypt (1996-2007). He was a professor of Computer Science at Faculty of Science,AinShamsUniversity from 1989 to 1996. He was a Director of Scientific Computing Center atAinShamsUniversity (1984-1990). His research includes intelligent computing, expert systems, medical informatics, and intelligent e-learning technologies. Dr. Yusmadi Yah Jusoh is an associate professor at Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Selangor, Malaysia. Dr Paul Mitchell has been an academic at the University of York since 2005 and has previously worked at BT and QinetiQ. Primary research interests lie in underwater acoustic communication networks and terrestrial wireless sensor networks, including the development of novel medium access control and routing strategies. The application of machine learning to such distributed communication problems is being explored. Other related interests include cognitive radio, traffic modelling, queuing theory, satellite and mobile communication systems. Paul is an author of over 80 refereed journal and conference papers and has served on numerous international conference programme committees including VTC and ICC. He was general chair of the International Symposium on Wireless Communications Systems in 2010. He currently serves as an Associate Editor of the IET Wireless Sensor Systems journal and the International Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks, and has experience as Guest Editor and as a reviewer for a number of IEEE, ACM and IET journals. Dr Mitchell has experience with Research Council funded research and EU-funded projects including management of projects and multi-partner work packages. He recently coordinated an EPSRC grant (EP/D062691/1) on energy-efficient protocol design for sensor networks using aerial platforms. Dr Mitchell is a Senior Member of the IEEE and a member of the IET.

Mário Marques da Silva is an Associate Professor and the Director of the Department of Sciences and Technologies at Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa. He is also a Researcher at Instituto de Telecomunicações, in Lisbon, Portugal. He has been involved in multiple networking and telecommunications projects. His research interests include networking and mobile communications, namely 5G communications, interference cancellation, MIMO systems, channel estimation, software defined radio, IP technologies and network security. He is the author of five books entitled Multimedia Communications and Networking, Transmission Techniques for Emergent Multicast and Broadcast Systems, Transmission Techniques for 4G Systems, MIMO Processing for 4G and Beyond: Fundamentals and Evolution and Cable and Wireless Networks: Theory & Practice (all from CRC Press). Moreover, he is author of several dozens of journal and conference papers, a member of IEEE and AFCEA, and reviewer for a number of international scientific IEEE journals and conferences. Finally, he has chaired many conference sessions and has been serving in the organizing committee of relevant EURASIP and IEEE conferences.

Hosam El-Ocla has received the M.Sc. degree in the Electrical Engineering Department of Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt in 1996. He joined the Graduate School of Information Science and Electrical Engineering, Kyushu University, Japan in 1997 as a research student. He has been awarded the Doctor of Engineering degree in 2001 in the same University. Dr. El-Ocla joined Lakehead University since 2001 as an Assistant Professor and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2007. His research interests are on waves propagation and scattering in random media. Also, he is working in computer communications, networks, and protocols particularly of wireless networks. Dr. El-Ocla is a senior member of IEEE (Antenna and Propagation Society). He used to be a member of Institute of Physics (IOP) (2006 to 2009), and technical committee member on telecommunications of IASTED (2005 to 2008). In addition, he is a Professional Engineer of Ontario (P.Eng.). He was invited for research visits to Ariake National College of Technology (Japan) and Manchester University (UK). In 2009 and during his one year sabbatical, he worked in King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He woked in both E-Learning and Distance Learning Deanship and the College of Engineering, Electrical Engineering Department.

Dr. Piet Kommers is an early pioneer in media for cognitive- and social support. His doctoral research explored methods for hypertext and concept mapping in learning. Since 1982 he developed educational technology fir teacher training. His main thesis is that technology is catalytic for human ambition and awareness. His main function is associate professor in the University in Twente, The Netherlands and adjunct/visiting professor in various countries. He taught more than fifteen bachelor-, master- and PhD courses and supervised more than 30 PhD students. He instigated and coordinated the NATO Advanced Research Workshop on Cognitive Technologies in 1990 and a large series of Joint European Research Projects in: authoring multimedia, web-based learning, teacher education, virtual 3d worlds, constructivist learning, social media, web-based communities and international student exchange. UNESCO awarded his work in ICT for Education in Eastern Europe with the title of Honorary Professor. The Capital Normal University in Beijing awarded his work with the title of Honorary Doctor. He is member of advisory boards in ministries of education and academia of sciences in Singapore, Finland and Russia. Piet Kommers is the initiator of the international journal for web-based communities and overall chair of the IADIS conferences on societal applications of ICT. Since the late nineties he gave more than 40 invited and keynote lectures at main conferences in the fields of education, media and communication. His books and journal articles address the social and intellectual transformations at each transition from “traditional” into the “new” media. Instead of regarding media as extrapolating, supplanting, vicarious or even disruptive, Piet’s view is that new media elicit and seduce both individuals and organizations to reconsider human nature and challenge existential awareness at that very moment.

Med Salim Bouhlel was born in Sfax (Tunisia) in December 1955. He is a full professor at Sfax University, Tunisia. He is the Head of the Research Lab: Sciences and Technologies of Image and Communication since 2003. He was the director of the Higher Institute of Electronics and Communications of Sfax- TUNISIA (ISECS) 2008-2011 He received the golden medal with the special appreciation of the jury in 1999 on the occasion of the first International Meeting of Invention, Innovation and Technology (Dubai, UAE). He was the vice president and founder member of the Tunisian Association of the Specialists in Electronics and the Tunisian Association of the Experts in Imagery. He is the president and founder of the Tunisian association on Human-Machine Interaction since 2013. He is the Editor in Chief of the international Journal "Human-Machine Interaction" and a dozen of special issues of international journals. He is the Chairman of many international conferences and member of the program committee of numerous international conferences. His research interests are Image processing, Telecommunication and Human-Machine Interaction in which he has obtained more than 20 patents so far. More than 400 articles were published in international journals, conferences and books. Moreover, he has been the principal investigator and the project manager for several research projects dealing with several topics concerned with his research interests mentioned above.

Dr Varaprasad earned his Ph.D. in 1979 from IIT Bombay on Piezoelectric SONAR Technology followed by 3 years of Post Doctoral research experience at Microelectronics & Electrical Engineering Department of Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. Dr Varaprasad is a reputed DRDO Scientist with 3 decades of experience in the field of Missile Technology at Research Centre Imarat / RCI, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Missile Complex, Hyderabad. RCI is the brain child of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam and specialises on Avionics, Navigation systems, Control systems, Radar Systems for Agni, Prithvi, Dhanush and Air Defence/AD Missiles. Dr Varaprasad served as Head of Micro Electro Mechanical Systems / MEMS. His works include MEMS and Nano-sensors for Navigation, Gyros, Accelerometers, Pressure sensors and MEMS Devices for telemetry and tele-command applications. Dr. Varaprasad has been awarded Japan Matsumae International Foundation medal in 1987 and Materials Research Society of India MRSI medal in 1990. Other notable contributions of Dr Varaprasad include Piezoelectric SONAR systems for Indian Navy while working at NMRL, Bombay, during 1984-88 ie before moving over to RCI Hyderabad. Dr Varaprasad is retired from Government service in 2012. Since then, he is Director of CIGS (Centre for ISRO GNSS) His current research interests include Space Technology, GPS, India's own GPS i.e.NavIC(Navigation with Indian Constellation) and location information for Internet of Things/ IOT. Dr. Varaprasad is Senior Adivsor to the growing community of Young, enthusiastic, talented and innovative researchers who are involved in making AI Robots for NASA Rover competition, CANSAT workshop, cube-sats, launching model rockets at Engg colleges in India, designing Robots, asteroid mining and Space Colonization. Recent achievements of SDNx include : MOU with BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa and Guest countries) International Forum at New Delhi, “MARS SUMMIT, 21-23 Feb 2017” and CANSAT Workshop at Bangalore, launching model rockets at IIT-BHU, Varanasi and Kurukshetra Universities.
